This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough on how to request site migration support from the ORIV team. Follow the prerequisites carefully and then contact support with the required information to ensure a smooth migration process.

Prerequisites To Perform A Full Server Migration With ORIV

Before requesting a Full Server Migration with ORIV, ensure the following conditions are met on your source server: ⚠️ Important Note: You can migrate an existing server to ORIV. However, you must install a fresh server from ORIV first in order to use the Full Server Migration feature. Make sure all prerequisites above are completed before proceeding.

Steps to Request Migration Support

Once all prerequisites are fulfilled, follow these steps to request site migration support from the ORIV team:

Step 1: Contact Support

Contact the ORIV support team at support@oriv.cloud. Clearly mention that you need site migration support and that all prerequisites have been completed. Tip: Provide as much detail as possible in your initial message to avoid unnecessary back-and-forth communication. Include the full URL of the website you want to migrate in your message. For example: https://www.yourwebsite.com If you have multiple sites to migrate, list each site URL separately.

Step 3: Share WordPress Admin Credentials

Provide the WordPress admin login credentials for your site in your message. The ORIV support team will need these to access your site during the migration process. Include the following: 🔒 Security Recommendation: It is recommended to change your WordPress admin password after the migration is complete for security purposes.

Step 4: ORIV Team Handles the Migration

Once the ORIV support team receives your request with the site link and WordPress admin credentials, they will begin the migration process. The team will migrate your site to the fresh ORIV server you have set up. You will be notified via email once the migration is complete.

  • Source server running Nginx or OLS
  • Ubuntu 20.04 or 24.04 LTS x64 on source server
  • Root access obtained for source server
  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) disabled
  • Host security plugins (e.g., SiteGround Security Optimizer) disabled
  • Must-use hosting plugins uninstalled
  • Cache cleared and cache plugins (e.g., Object Cache Pro) disabled
  • Security plugins (e.g., Wordfence) disabled
  • Fresh ORIV server installed
  • Support contacted with site URL and WP admin credentials
